Clinton Businesses,

I am grateful you have chosen to do business in Clinton, and I thank you for your resilience in the face of challenges over the past couple of years. I know many of you have struggled financially due to the UDOT construction. The City, likewise, has seen a reduction in sales tax revenue that strains our operations.

Come January, I will be sworn in as Clinton's new mayor. I have been working to launch a new event — Clinton's Comeback Week — in hopes of giving everyone a boost. It's an effort to get the public excited about shopping in Clinton again. If any of you would like to participate, especially storefront retail, we would be thrilled to have you.

Here's the basic vision:

February 8-14, the week leading up to Valentine's Day.
Clinton's Comeback Challenge, with prizes for people who spend at the highest number of establishments during the week.
Potential kickoff flag ceremony with the big FatCats flag.
Potential opportunities for the fire truck to visit various parking lots throughout the week for kids.

Here's how you can help:

Donate prizes for us to give to winners.
Let us know if you are willing to have a sale or special deal that week.
Help us with printing. Print a poster for your front door and Comeback Challenge maps to hand out to the public when they come in your store (we will send you the PDFs).
Come up with your own special thing to add, such as a visit from your mascot. Let us know so we can add it to the master list of events.
Help spread the word. The City will market the event via newsletter, social media, and physical signs.

Contact Dorathy at 808-345-6884 or Chandra at 385-289-7016 if you want to participate.

If we work together, I believe we can make a difference. Thank you!
