  1. Clinton inital flier 1300 N Road Closure

Mother Nature did not produce as much snow and rain that we need to replenish the watershed. The secondary water system startup was delayed by 2 weeks (pressurized during late April) and available by May 2nd.

Please reduce your secondary water use and limit watering to once a week until Memorial Day, twice a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and then back to once a week until the end of the water season. We do not recommend new landscapes under the circumstances. The secondary water system will be shut down October 1st or sooner, depending on water supplies and water use.

If your house number ends in:

    0, 1, 2, 3 - Water on Monday and Thursday

    4, 5, 6 - Water on Tuesday and Friday

    7, 8, 9 - Water on Wednesday and Saturday

It is recommended that you water once (one cycle) on your scheduled day EXCEPT between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We recommend reviewing the State website for conservation ideas and guides. (http://www.conservewater.utah.gov/

Check our website, www.davisweber.org, for further updates or restrictions. We ask for your patience as we manage a reduced water supply.

Q&A of some common questions being asked:

    Q: Refund or fee reduction?

A: No, secondary water users of the Davis and Weber Counties Canal Company are not guaranteed delivery of a specific quantity of water each year or guaranteed delivery of water for a specified period of time.   The Company cannot be held responsible for variations in annual water supply available for secondary water supply due to drought.  The Company is a non-profit entity that relies upon member fees to operate and maintain the secondary water system.  The cost of maintaining and servicing your secondary water system is not reduced during times of water supply shortage and the Company will not issue refunds to secondary water users due to interrupted service or a shortened water season. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Q: When is the secondary water going to be metered?

A: Davis and Weber Counties Canal Company has required meters on all new construction since 2013 and has about 22% of the system metered. In the 2022 legislative session, HB242 passed, requiring that all secondary water services be metered by the end of 2029. Secondary water meters will be installed throughout our system over the next 7 years.
