This is to inform you of a child care assistance program brought to you through a partnership between your city of residence and Davis Education Foundation, the non-profit fundraising arm for Davis School District. At the onset of the hybrid attendance schedule in Davis School District, thoughts immediately turned to households with working parents who wouldn’t be able to supervise young children during remote learning school hours. Using federal CARES funding, the cities of West Bountiful, Clinton, Syracuse, North Salt Lake and West Point generously approved a child care assistance proposal from Davis Education Foundation. Through this grant, parents are able to apply for funds to offset child care costs incurred during modified school schedules adopted in response to coronavirus spread. Individual households may receive $200 per qualifying child for the phase of hybrid learning (August 25 to September 25) and $75 per qualifying child for the subsequent phases of four-day in-person learning (September 28 - October 29 and November 2 - November 30). Details and application are available at https://www.daviseducationfoundation.org The application deadline is November 9, 2020.
Not all cities in Davis County opted to participate in this program. You are fortunate to live in a city where your leaders are in tune with the needs of residents and want to help where possible. If you feel to express your gratitude, please reach out to your city council or mayor. For questions about the program, please contact Kara Toone at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for all you do as workers and as parents.
