The Davis and Weber Counties Canal Company is planning to shut off their secondary water systems on September 1st due to the extreme drought and limited water resources. The allocated water to the secondary water systems will run out based on our master meters. This is an unprecedented situation. We warn people to not create cross-connections, but we know many will use their culinary water via a hose from their house. For most cities, the culinary water comes from the same source (Weber River) which is depleted.
Our canal will most likely still run as several ditches have self-regulated and rationed their water allotment to last longer. We ask for your assistance and patience in this matter. Thank you.
