(Part Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly)

The recreation department is currently seeking Site Supervisors for our Youth Sports Programs and activities.  This is a Part-Time, Non-exempt (Hourly) position, up to 15 hours per week.  Hours are typically from 4:30pm – 8:30pm Monday – Thursday and occasional Saturdays.  The Salary Range is from $15.00 - $16.00 per hour.  Incumbents are typically hired at the minimum.  This position is responsible for performing facility/field and equipment set up, public safety and supervision of youth officials.  This position will serve as the official departmental representative at events, games and programs.   The site supervisor will make decisions regarding player and team eligibility, mediate disputes between players, spectators and officials and at times may need to eject players, spectators or coaches from programs and facilities/fields for sportsmanship, behavior and language issues.  This position will educate participants, spectators and coaches about rules, regulations, policies and procedures.  Control games, activities and events by enforcing the established rules, regulations, policies and procedures.  The site supervisor will see that officials and scorekeepers are in place and adhering to and enforcing program rules.  At times the site supervisor may have to officiate, scorekeep, time or coach games.   The site supervisor will need to render First-Aid and CPR to injured participants, spectators or personnel.   The position will also need to prepare Incident Reports and other written documents as needed.  The site supervisor will need to perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Recreation Coordinator or Supervisor.  Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a basic understanding of the rules of soccer, baseball, softball, kickball, basketball and football.  Applicants must obtain a certification in First-Aid, AED and CPR within one (1) month of hire.
