Fire Chief David Olsen recommended the recognition of Mr. Bennett Vaterlaus for being a Good Citizen to the Mayor and City Council for his situational awareness and ability to think fast and get help during a structure fire that happened on 7/28/2015. His actions saved tens of thousands of dollars in property damage as well as helped save the lives of some chickens and ducks. Great Job Bennett!
