Public Works Seasonal Maintenance Workers – open until filled; are generally scheduled 40 hours/week for a period of between 3 and 9 months depending on the position. They perform a wide variety of semi-skilled tasks involving the maintenance and repair for Public Works, Water, Storm Water, Sewer and Streets departments. Seasonal Parks Department Workers – open until 3:00 p.m. March 23, 2018; generally work from March to October; however, consideration to school and schedules will be reasonably accommodated. ALL applicants MUST be willing to work well with others. Some of the positions that need to be filled are: Mowing crew; Ball Field prep/maintenance crew; Flower Beds/ aesthetics crew; Sprinklers crew; Parks maintenance crew; Flower Pot watering crew. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years old; Must have physical strength sufficient to perform strenuous labor tasks under varying weather conditions; Good driving record and valid driver’s license required; Drug and Alcohol testing is required. The beginning salary for these positions may start at $9/hr but could be more based on experience and qualifications.
