DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS POSITIONS

DIVISION:     WATER & STREETS

TERM:                  THREE TO NINE MONTHS

HOURS:               40 HOURS/WEEK

WAGE RANGE:  $9.00 - $12.50 DOE


Seasonal Public Works Workers Needed -  The Clinton City Public Works Department is now taking applications for seasonal maintenance worker positions in the water and streets departments. Seasonal positions are generally scheduled 40 hours/week for a period of between 3 and 9 months depending on the position. Public Works Maintenance Workers perform a wide variety of semi-skilled tasks involving the maintenance, repair and construction of trails, street lights, water system facilities and streets. Some positions include evening and weekend hours as assigned. Beginning salary is $9.00- $12.50 depending on experience and position. Minimum Qualifications •Must be at least 16 years old. •Must have physical strength sufficient to perform strenuous labor tasks under varying weather conditions. •Good driving record and valid driver’s license required. •Drug and Alcohol testing required.
