Marie Dougherty was elected mayor in 2025 after serving five years on the City Council. She is filled with love for our city and its incredible people. Clinton is where she started her family in 2003 because of its safety, peace, and family-friendly feel. She graduated from Utah State University with a degree in both journalism and political science.
In her civic adventures, Mayor Dougherty prioritizes transparency and communication. She has worked to improve the presence of elected officials on social media. She serves on the board of Wasatch Integrated Waste, the legislative committee of the League of Cities, and the board of the Mosquito Abatement District. She has been a liaison to the Chambers of Commerce and Communities that Care.
